Canadian luxury retailer Holt Renfrew partnered with NEST Fragrances, Elton John, and his husband David Furnish to create exclusive scented candles to raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The three-wick oversize candles came in two varieties; L' Orangerie, a citrus fragrance, and Jardin de Fleurs, a floral blend.
These base and lid boxes are wrapped in Mylar material and treated with gloss and matte U.V. coating. The shimmering metallic appearance of the boxes makes for an unforgettable scented candle packaging experience.
The distinct design of each version is important not only to distinguish between each scent but to demonstrate the impact of packaging. Versioning like this encourages collectors to acquire the complete set for the virtue of packaging as well as product.
