New Hire Welcome Box with Custom Inserts
Combining multiple materials, decorations, and box-making techniques, this project is a model example of custom packaging that can take on another life as a keepsake or storage box.
When Johnson & Johnson purchased Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies they worked with Two Paper Dolls Design House to create this elaborate new hire welcome box, as an onboarding gift for all those becoming part of the Johnson & Johnson family. This custom printed Tray in 3- Panel Folder Box, with a slipcase and custom inserts, was an impressive presentation that held print collateral pertaining to employee benefits and company changes, and swag such as a mug, tumbler, badge, pen, and other items within the custom chipboard and foam inserts.
Composed of a durable heavy black chipboard that was wrapped in a variety of cover materials including 4-color offset printed paper, Rainbow paper from Ecological Fibers, and Sierra Paper. The new hire welcome box is outfitted with premium packaging features such as interior trays lined with die-cut foam to cradle the contents, a ribbon stay to secure the lid to the tray, and a foil stamp and deboss decoration on the front panel. To maximize the available space of the box, a slipcase was fixed to the inside of the lid to hold a beautiful leather padfolio and additional collateral.
