Hello – I’m Victoria Reed. My role here at Taylor Box Company for the past three years has been as Project Relationship Manager. I am one of the team members who provide you with a personalized experience throughout your projects’ development when working with Taylor Box. I will do everything within my power to provide the best experience possible!

Part of working with Taylor is that you aren’t just a number – you’re a person, and we’re an extension of your team, building a relationship, not just boxes.

As one of the first people you will speak with when you call in or complete a project planner submission on our website, we’ll review your project and cover the first steps in building a packaging design that meets your needs and budget. I’ll then guide you through every stage of the process to ensure expectations have been met.

Before arriving at Taylor, I spent over 30 years in the Fashion Jewelry industry after earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing from Tyler School of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Coming from a long journey in jewelry design, I’m grateful to keep my creative side intact by helping design our custom packaging. This job requires putting together many structural and creative variables to help our customers make not only functional but beautiful packaging. I’m surrounded by paper, printing, and artisans daily honing their craft, providing constant inspiration. I love the process!

One of the best things about working at Taylor, aside from working with a great team, is how wonderful it is to have so many unique projects with creative clients from all over the United States! This job has never been tedious, and every day is an exciting adventure. I must also point out that one of my other favorite things about working at Taylor is Wednesday snack day!

While every project is unique, the most memorable project I have worked on was thanks to our client, Parallel Design Agency in Brooklyn. Adidas hired Parallel to create a show-stopping, one-of-a-kind 50th-anniversary influencer piece celebrating its Rockstar sneaker and the Hip Hop Group RUN DMC. This incredible project won a coveted Gold Dieline award for the Entertainment category.

Since we create truly custom packaging, some insight I can provide to new clients is – planning is critical. Setting aside enough time and attention to cover the project details early on and planning for the proper time for the approval process is paramount to a successful outcome. Although I do love to run, racing to the finish, in this case, rarely benefits anyone. This is particularly true with the supply chain challenges we are currently facing. Whether for a seemingly simple or elaborate project, design, testing, material selection, supply chain, production, and shipping take a lot of footwork. Give yourself time and allow for things to go sideways and be righted again because it is a process, and issues arise.

Often, a project can be for a client who is banking their life savings on a winning product, and having clear and defined steps to follow and enough time to react to potential changes is essential.

My proudest moment since coming to Taylor was coming in second place in our “Build Your Own Box” Box decoration contest. I came in second, losing to the lovely Alejandra!

When I’m not working, I enjoy sailing on Narragansett Bay, distance running, and spending time with my husband, son, and rescue dog. Fun fact: I do accents very well – for my next career, I’m planning on being a voiceover actor for animated films!
